So I apologize for being MIA the last week or so! We went back down to the Jacksonville area of NC for my Mr’s best friend’s wedding. He has just recently been medically separated from the Marine Corps and was waiting until after his wedding to re-join the civilian work force. We didn’t get a lot of time to talk, but I recommended he check out Emma Bank’s guest post on finding a job after the Marine Corps.
The wedding was frantic, a bit unorganized, but tons of fun and full of love and belly laughs! It was small, down to earth, quick, and the bridal party instantly became best friends.
I teased my Mr and the Groom about their bromance and how they were BFFs (which to make that sound more manly, my Mr decided BFF stood for Best Fucking Friend lol). They met soon after boot camp and have been by each others’ sides through tours of duty, deployments, war zones, PCS’s, marriages, the births of both of their children, divorces, and now remarriages. When the groom calls me sis…he means it. I’m so honored to have two more members of my family, biological or not, and I absolutely wish the best of them a long and happy marriage.
Here are some of the better pics that came out of this weekend – I can’t wait to see the professional ones!
