Good morning all!!
This past weekend I managed to convince the Mr to brave the traffic and crowds and head up to DC to view the cherry blossoms. I’ve grown up in the suburbs of DC but have never gone down for the official Cherry Blossom Festival. Whoever is in charge of predicting when the Cherry Blossoms will peak should be shot. The prime time was supposed to be between this past weekend, but out of the entire tidal basin there were five trees in full bloom. FIVE! Which meant every tourist, Japanese and otherwise, was parked in front of these FIVE trees taking pictures. Luckily it was a gorgeous day out, so we didn’t mind the hustle and bustle, but after an hour or two I could tell the Mr. was getting impatient. Luckily, we stopped by Old Ebbitt’s Grill and had lunch. Enjoy a couple pictures from the trip:
